Trip to Haiti 2012
March 17th to March 24th
What are my goals for this trip?
My goal is to travel to a tent city in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and donate Daniel Trust tee shirts to men, women, and children who need them, especially orphans. In order to do this, I will need the support of my friends and family. Below are ways you can help me accomplish this goal. If you donate $100 to my foundation, I will be able to give 10 tee shirts to 10 people in the tent cities who will benefit from having a new tee shirt. This isn’t just a tee shirt, it’s a tee shirt that INSPIRES and gives HOPE to people that life gets better. It’s a tee shirt that encourages people to BELIEVE and to have FAITH in God: My life story is a testament to this. I BELIEVED and had FAITH that one day God will bring me to American and give me a better life & he did. The journey was not easy, it took years, but it happened because I never gave up. I prayed and kept my FAITH even in tough times when I couldn’t find something to eat or didn’t have a bed to sleep on. God is always there for us no matter the hard times we might be facing in our lives.

While in Haiti, I am also going to be volunteering with Child Hope International (www.ChildHope.org). Child Hope is a Christian non-profit organization based in Port-au-Prince founded by Bill and Suzette Manassero that helps orphaned and abandoned children in Haiti. They run an orphanage called Maison de Lumiere and I want to do something for the children that go to their school. They have about fifty children that they’ve been taking care of for the past few years and I plan to give a pen, pencil, and a note book to every student that attends their school. Education is power & the key to success.
