The Daniel Trust Experience
My love goes out to all Rwandans who lost their loved ones during the 1994 Genocide.
by Daniel Trust on 04/07/11
My love goes out to all Rwandans who lost their loved ones during the 1994 Genocide. This April marks 17 years since I last saw my mother being beaten to death, its seems as if it happened yesterday, I clearly recall that day. Dad, Mon, Mutesi, Maduguri, Evodi: Me, Marcel, Nelson, Evelyn, and Elyvanie we all miss you, we love you, may your souls rest in peace, we know you are all in a better place now. We will always remember you. I often think about you. I wish I got to know you, but I know you are always there with me in spirit. Dad and Mon: I thank you for bringing me in this world. I am here today because of you. You are my inspiration. I am who I am today because of you. I know you are watching me as I grow to my greatest. Thank you and I love you daily.

I want to give A special Thank You to all the SPECIAL WOMEN in my life. As I continue to grow to my greatest, I'm realizing that WOMEN of all ages are always there for me and are my biggest supporters. I know mother's day is coming up soon, but I can't wait. WOMEN: Thank you and I love you daily. I know our relationship will continue to grow as my journey to finding my true calling continues. Stay blessed.
"Stay Motivated & Be Inspired"Thank you Thank you for ALL the B. Day wishes
by Daniel Trust on 03/09/11
Dear Friends,
Thank you so much for all the B.Day wishes. I really appreciate the love. I had a tough day today, but I'm feeling much better now: My car broke down on my way from school to work, I had to wait 3 hrs before AAA came to my rescue. Hopefully the bill to fix it doesn't wipe out my whole savings account:-) You know, sometimes I wish I knew the exact month and day I was born. My sister Elyvanie, tells me I was born sometime in June or July in 1989. When our parents past in 1994, we lost everything. Therefore, my surviving family had no idea when my birthday was so they decided to give me one of my brother's birthdays, March 9. Oh well, it's not a big deal, but sometimes I wish I just knew. Alright, I will stop here. Until my next blog, you all stay positive and be inspired!
With Much Love,
-Dan
What Are You Most Passionate About?
by Daniel Trust on 03/07/11
What are you passionate about? is one of many questions I was asked today during a Q&A section after I shared my life story with Prof. Dawn Cathey's INQ class at SCSU. I know what my passion is, do you know what's yours? In life, you need to figure out what you love and what you are most passionate about. Once you have figured it out, I want you to act on it. Research what it takes to be where you want to be tomorrow. How are you going to use your passion to empower others? I encourage you all to do a self analysis and see where you are with your journey to becoming your true self. Are you happy? do you have your freedom? are you listening to that special voice? You need to know that life is tough, but we can make the best of it if we know who we are. I want you all to start LOVING yourself. Okay, I will stop here, but until my next blog, you all stay blessed!
Thanks to Prof. Dawn Cathey and her students for my therapy section today:-)
SCSU Alumni Magazine & Windham High School Lecture
by Daniel Trust on 03/04/11
Hey guys,
I'm so happy right now. I have good news for you: I am on the cover of The SCSU Alumni Magazine Spring issue & boy, I'm in love with it. All the pictures and stories are amazing and inspiring. It's so cool. If you go to SCSU stop by the Public Affairs office in Wintergreen and request a copy. I just want to thank everyone who made this possible, your hard work really paid off. I really really love the cover and all the inspiring stories in the issue. I'm really honored to have been given this opportunity.
I had a lecture at Windham High School in Willimatic, CT today and it went really well. It was a long drive, but it was worth it. Students always have great questions for me after my lectures. Thanks to all the students and staff who attended and asked questions. I enjoyed meeting each one of you.
I am so proud of myself. I really feel accomplished and it feels great. I'm loving the experience.
I wish you all a happy good weekend and stay blessed.
Thanks
-Dan
